AI Elixir - The Party Never Sleeps

Happy New Year! I hope you had an incredible holiday season! While we took a well-deserved break, AI clearly didn’t—staying busy and evolving at an impressive pace. As we step into 2025, the early signals suggest this year could bring even greater transformations to our work as health and wellness marketers, surpassing the remarkable progress we saw in 2024.

Let’s get to it!

Project Digits from Nvidia

The Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas wraps up today. If you aren't familiar, it is one of the largest trade shows in the United States and attracts over 130K people over the course of the 4 day event every January. There were tons of AI announcements and products with “AI Inside” but the star of this show was this tiny computer from Nvidia that is current codenamed Project Digits. This tiny little guy is 1000x as powerful as todays laptops and will offer data scientists, researchers, developers and students the unprecedented ability to design powerful AI models and applications from their desks. The starting price of this incredibly powerful desktop supercomputer? $3000! (When it launches later this year.)

WHY IT MATTERS

1000x the power of today’s laptops for $3000?!!! This is a significant step in the democratization of AI development that will trickly down to all of us (and our computers) over the next couple years making it easier to design and deploy more powerful GenAI experiences to our customers.

Honesty is the Best Algorithm

This is a great read from the excellent AI Marketing Ethics newsletter around the topic of ethics. As we move into 2025 we will be finding that more and more of the tools we use to create our work will have GenAI features and functionality built in. It will be to find software that doesn’t. And no matter what tools and models we choose (or are allowed) to use it will be extremely important to let our end consumers know how we are using them.

Here are two examples from the article:

Salesforce introduced its AI ethics guidelines in 2023, focusing on transparency and fairness. The company strengthened its reputation as a responsible tech leader by actively involving stakeholders in refining its AI models

Unilever’s AI-driven advertising campaigns prioritize consent and clarity, providing users with detailed explanations of how their data influences ads. This approach has earned it a reputation for ethical marketing.

WHY IT MATTERS

As we deepen our understanding of GenAI’s capabilities, our curiosity—and in some cases, skepticism—about how it shapes and influences our digital and physical experiences naturally grows. Transparency is key; if customers only uncover AI's involvement after the fact, it risks eroding trust and fostering suspicion in the long run. Proactively addressing how AI is being utilized and ensuring ethical, open communication will be essential to maintaining credibility and building lasting relationships.

Jellypod - AI Podcast Studio

It seems the AI powered podcast creation space is really heating up. Google’s Notebook LM was very cool, but Jellypod just took it to a whole new level.

“From planning and recording to editing and distribution, consistently producing high-quality podcasts is extremely time-consuming,” said Pierson Marks, CEO of Jellypod. “This barrier to entry causes countless stories, ideas, and conversations to never fully take shape. Leveraging AI as a bicycle for the mind allows millions of new voices to share their unique perspectives without expensive recording setups or being siloed by language barriers. Jellypod essentially transforms creators into the executive producer of a highly-skilled media team.”

WHY IT MATTERS

I believe 2025 will mark a transformative shift for marketers, as delivering content across multiple media formats—such as audio, video, and animation—becomes both effortless and cost-effective. This evolution will empower us to connect with a much broader audience, leveraging diverse formats to drive deeper engagement and more meaningful interactions than ever before. With emerging tools and technologies streamlining production and personalization, the possibilities for creative storytelling and impactful communication are virtually limitless.
