AI Elixir - OpenAI Sets a Record!

Big news this week (as usual), OpenAI just secured a massive $6.6 billion in funding to fuel its ongoing development. That’s right, $6.6 billion. It’s the largest venture capital raise ever recorded, shooting the company’s valuation up to a staggering $157 billion. That’s nearly double what it was just earlier this year.

Let’s get to it!

Microsoft Upgrades CoPilot

Microsoft has announced new AI capabilities for its ChatGPT-powered chatbot, Copilot, aiming to provide consumers with more features and power. Microsoft’s Copilot is stepping up its game to compete with the likes of Anthropic’s Claude, Google’s Gemini, and OpenAI’s ChatGPT

Copilot Voice: Understands verbal questions and responds—even when interrupted—with four natural voice options. It’s like having a personal assistant that’s always ready to chat.

Copilot Vision: Scans webpages, analyzes images, and answers questions verbally. Need insights from a webpage or an image? Just ask, and Copilot Vision delivers.

Think Deeper Feature: While it might “take more time before responding,” this feature allows Copilot to generate more thorough responses to complex questions, including solving tough math problems. Deep dives just got a whole lot easier.

WHY IT MATTERS

Many healthcare organizations are standardized on Microsoft products and CoPilot because of Microsoft’s HIPAA compliance. For marketers in these orgs, the upgrades to CoPilot bring it on par with some of the other leading GenAI chatbots that they cannot utilize given their AI compliance guidelines.
