AI Elixir - Live from MAICON!

Greetings! This week I have been attending the Marketing AI Conference (MAICON) in Cleveland, OH. MAICON is a yearly event hosted by the Marketing AI Institute. If you aren’t familiar with the event (or the Institute), I suggest you check them out. The conference is top notch and the Institute offers wonderful podcasts, classes and an amazing Slack channel that is really worth joining.

AI Ethics Councils

WHY IT MATTERS

As AI integrates further into your business operations, ethical challenges like data privacy and algorithmic bias become critical concerns. Establishing an AI ethics council helps companies mitigate these risks, ensuring AI use aligns with ethical standards, fosters stakeholder trust, and maintains accountability. Such a council should include diverse members, including data scientists, ethicists, legal experts, and C-suite executives, who bring varied perspectives. The council’s duties encompass ethical audits, developing guidelines, managing crises, and fostering transparency to promote responsible AI use and uphold corporate values.

The Firefly Video Model

Releasing in beta later this year, Adobe’s Firefly video generation model shows great promise with amazing quality (on par with OpenAI’s Sora), camera controls, generative scene extend and many other features. Check out the video below for examples of what it can do!

WHY IT MATTERS

Much like the Firefly still image generation model, Adobe’s video model is only trained on openly licensed and public domain content so there aren’t worries about copyright issues with it’s use.
