AI Elixir - A Whole New Canvas

Well, I’m not gonna lie…it was a bit of a slow week for cool GenAI news that would be of specific interest to our merry band of Health & Wellness Marketers, but fear not dear readers…I always find something.

Let’s get to it!

OpenAI Launches Canvas

Canvas is a new interface for ChatGPT designed for writing and coding projects that require more than simple chat. It opens in a separate window, enabling collaboration on projects by creating and refining ideas with ChatGPT. Currently in early beta, Canvas is built with GPT-4o and is available for ChatGPT Plus and Team users globally. Plans are in place to release Canvas to all ChatGPT Free users after the beta phase.

Canvas enhances chatbot collaboration by allowing users to highlight specific sections of content for ChatGPT to focus on, providing inline feedback like a copy editor or code reviewer. Users maintain control of their projects, with options to directly edit text or code, use shortcuts to adjust writing length or debug code, and restore previous versions via the back button.

Canvas opens automatically when helpful or can be manually prompted by including “use canvas.” Writing shortcuts include suggesting edits, adjusting length, changing reading level, adding final polish for grammar and clarity, and incorporating emojis for emphasis.

WHY IT MATTERS

The ChatGPT Canvas interface significantly enhances the ability to produce, edit, and refine content efficiently, while maintaining control over the entire project. Here’s a few key points:

1. Improved Collaboration: Marketers can work seamlessly with ChatGPT on complex writing tasks, such as creating campaign copy, refining blog posts, or developing ad content, with more detailed feedback and revision capabilities.

2. Time Savings: With features like automatic suggestions for edits, adjusting length, and changing reading level, marketers can quickly tailor content to suit different platforms and audiences without starting from scratch each time.

3. Consistency and Quality: Tools for final polishing and clarity ensure that marketing content is grammatically sound and on-brand, reducing the likelihood of errors slipping through.

4. Customization: For health and wellness marketers, the ability to adjust reading levels means content can be easily adapted for different segments, from general consumers to healthcare professionals, improving engagement and communication.

In general, this is just a better way for marketers to craft long(er) form content using ChatGPT. Canvas allows you to focus on smaller sections one at a time and step back through your changes if needed. It feels more comfortable freeing you up to focus on the content and not the tool. Definitely give it a try!

Starting in 2025, Wimbledon will replace all human line judges with AI technology, marking the end of a 147-year tradition. The system, called electronic line calling (ELC), uses cameras and microphones to track the ball’s movement and make real-time decisions on calls like “out” and “fault.” This move follows successful tests in other tournaments and is part of Wimbledon’s efforts to modernize, while balancing tradition with technological innovation. A video operator will oversee the system, similar to VAR in soccer
